I've just installed the system on VirtualBox 4.2.10 for Windows 7 host, it works fine in most respect, but I am unable to set the correct resolution of my display. I told you that after you install the guest additions, 3D acceleration should work, but then you say "Even after install Metacity, it won't work." Metacity has nothing to do with I now have hardware OpenGL support (tested and verified using other software), but VirtualBox now crashes when the guest is about to show the desktop. which command are you using if you want to run the installer for the guest-additions?
