Choice 3 generates an error reading: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\system32\config\system. As long as nothing changed, when activating OE it started up in this new created ('Private') Identity and there was no problem. Pulled out 1 of the 2 DIMM's, no difference. There are too many old programs that the customer does not have the install packages for so a clean install is out.If I have the CD in, it just errors out. Sysmdm.cpl didn't work at first (as some others have stated) to start Device Manager. SHOULD I RETRY upgrade XPpro (SP2 this time) ?? Then type sysdm.cpl. I put the winxp cd and ran setup, it formatted the drive and everything, but then when it boots up XP and runs setup to config timezone and **** it interrupts
